Artist Statement
I tell salacious and subversive stories. My art is erotic with a macabre sense of humor. My work would be right at home on the walls of the Addams family. I use lurid colors and cartoonish figures to depict grim subject matter with a little levity. I make light of heavy topics like psychotic mental illness and sexual oppression to cope with the personal toll of these subjects in my own life. I use humor to disarm. I make explicit that which is often hidden or shamed from sight.
